Night Petra by Night
Petra by Night is great for photographers, content creators, and travelers who enjoy peaceful atmospheres.
Some visitors love it, while others think it is not worth the price.
Petra by Night is not included in the Jordan Pass. It requires a separate ticket, which costs 30 JOD.

Info Visitor Information
Inside Petra, some sellers may follow tourists continuously while trying to sell souvenirs, horse rides, camel rides, or other services.
If you are not interested, simply keep walking and avoid long conversations.
Be careful when someone offers “free” tea, coffee, water, or bracelets. Sometimes they may later ask for money.
If you agree on a price with a tour guide and they later try to charge you more, politely remind them of the agreed price. If necessary, tell them you will contact the Jordan Tourist Police. Do not feel pressured into paying more than what was originally agreed.
Personally, I don't think hiring a guide is necessary for most visitors because information boards are available throughout Petra. However, if you choose to hire one, always agree on the price before starting.
Occasionally, especially if you are travelling in a group of women, some people may try to attract your attention with unnecessary comments. The best response is simply to ignore them and continue enjoying your visit.

Hotel or hostel meals
Eating at your hotel or hostel is often cheaper than restaurants near Petra.
Tourist restaurants
Many restaurants around Petra are tourist-oriented and more expensive.
Bus Transportation
JETT Bus
JETT Bus is one of the easiest ways to travel from Amman to Petra.
Right now, Petra and Aqaba are the main Jordan routes I would tell travelers to check with JETT. Confirm the schedule before you build your itinerary because services can change when tourism is quiet.

Select “Amman Daily Tours” then choose Petra. It is transportation only, not a guided tour.
One-way ticket price: around 10 JOD.
Departure times
After booking, take a screenshot of your ticket because the confirmation email may not arrive sometimes.
Travel tip
Public buses are cheaper (5–7 JOD) and they leave from South Bus Station once full.
